Apologies: Ian Lidell, Michael Rogerson, Trish Davies, Jacqui Clark, Maggie Wood, Hannah Goddard

1                    Reading: The theme was “He is risen” and discussion ranged over the response of the apostles and followers of Jesus to the incredible news that he appeared to Mary Magdelene.

2                    Lenten Talks:

Attendance was around 25 – 30 for each talk. The publicity and live speakers were effective. Thanks to all involved in making them such a success.

Brendan reported that following the first talk on CaFOD, some parishioners are keen to get together to raise money.

We will build on them by organising a talk for Parents on the current situation locally with drug abuse and what we can do.

ACTION: Brendan will attend a meeting on 26th April with a view to setting up a fund raising group for CaFOD.

ACTION: Jill to liaise with speaker on Drug Risks and arrange date & time.

ACTION: All to generate ideas for next series of talks / discussions.

3                    PPC aims, roles and responsibilities:

The roles and responsibilities of Lay Ministers prepared 2 years ago will be updated for current circumstances and re-issued.

Aims and priorities of the PPC will remain as published in the agenda and will be discussed at our next meeting.

ACTION: Andrew to revise and reissue the document.

4                    Communications:

There are no key messages to include in the Parish Magazines locally.

Representative Catechist (Ian Lidell) and Music & Liturgy ministers (Helen & Jill) have been invited to North West Hampshire Pastoral Area coordination meetings on 22nd and 29th April respectively.

5                    North West Hampshire Pastoral Area

Fr Danny reported that the main focus of the last NWH Pastoral Area meeting was to define the ministries needed to run the Catholic Church in our area.

6                    Other Business

We have had a generous offer from a parishioner to use a house in Upton Grey for a parish event. This could well fit in with the CaFOD initiative.
